What kind of disciple are you?

The Bible teaches us to “go and make disciples of all men” but what kind of disciples are we producing? What percentage of those who boast of being a “christian” these days are actually disciples? When I look around the religious community I hear a lot of professions, but see very few real disciples. Christian’s are to be different, peculiar, set apart and resemble Christ not this world. Yet, most of the churches energy is focused on trying to be appealing to the world using the things that make the world comfortable. This may explain why we see such a disparity between the disciples produced today vs. the examples we read of in scripture. Paul said in Galatians 2:17-18 “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.”  Salvation comes by Grace through Jesus Christ. However, grace does not justify sin making it okay to walk in it. Discipleship comes by obedience and reverence to Him and His grace. A serious love for Christ and concern to guard that grace should be realized and kept close to one’s heart. Less we build again, what we once destroyed, and become a transgressor of His grace.
