September 15, 2011 (Ezekiel 38-39; Psalm 145; Revelation 20)
From the Life Journal of Adam Proux:
Scripture: “According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I dealt with them, and I hid My face from them.” Ezekiel 39:24 NASB
Observation: The children of Israel forced God to deal with them because of their refusal to repent and turn from wicked ways. God dealt with them according to their deeds. The filth of sin had to be dealt with, God could not stand to see His people walking in such ways.
Application: Sin and wickedness must be dealt with. We can choose to seek God and learn how He would have us deal with it, or we can continue in sin and God will deal with it. It’s a far better choice if we make the effort to learn of God’s Holy standards and apply them to our life. Through Christ we are made righteous in God’s eyes, but we must repent and turn from wickedness or else Christ sacrifice will not remain and the only thing left will be a fearful looking for of judgment. See Hebrews 10:26-27
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for this day. I praise You for who You are. Help me Lord deal with sin and wickedness in a way that pleases You. Cast it far from me, for I desire to walk in Your righteousness. By Your Spirit, help me walk right. I ask You to forgive me of all sin in my life, reveal to me sin I need to repent of. Turn Your face toward me and shine Your grace and mercy on me. In Jesus name, Amen.
