“Call to Me, I will answer you”

August 24, 2011 (Jeremiah 33-34; Psalm 74; 1 John 5)

From the Life Journal of Adam Proux:

Scripture: “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3 NASB

Observation: Call on God. He knows the answer to all things. Listen to Him, He will tell you great and mighty things. His desire is to hear from you today. He longs to hear your voice call unto Him for guidance, understanding and direction.

Application: How often do you call to God? Most people only call to God when they are in a situation they can’t get out of. They treat God like He’s a genie in a bottle, not the creator of everything. Why do we expect God to recognize our voice when we talk to Him so little? Seek Him daily in prayer. Call to God on the good days too! Have you called Him today yet?

Prayer: Father, thank You for the blessing of being able to call to You. Thank You for not only hearing, but answering the call of Your people. Tell me great and mighty things Lord, which I do not know, I’m listening. I long to hear You speak to me. I long to hear You say, “this is the way, walk in it”. Guide my feet Lord with the lamp of thy word. Keep me from harm and protect me from my enemies. Thank You Father, in Jesus name, Amen.
