“Walk This Way, Not”

July 11, 2011 (Isaiah 8-10; Hebrews 8.)

From the Life Journal of Adam Proux:

Scripture: “For thus the Lord spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people,” Isaiah 8:11 NASB

Observation: Here God has warned and instructed Isaiah not walk in the way of the majority. He tells us in the next few verse’s, who is to be regarded as holy, and whom to fear. Fear God for He is Holy. The majority will lead you astray with their respect and fear of earthly men.

Application: Be prepared to stand alone. At least it may look that way in man’s eyes. But we know we have a Father with tens of thousands of angels prepared to go to battle for us. Though the head and tail may be cut off because of how they lead the people astray, God will remain faithful to deliver His people.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you this morning for your love and commitment. Thank you for watching over your people and protecting us. Help us today with what we have need of. Provide us victory through Your Son Jesus. Help me focus on You. Help me fear You. Help me regard you as Holy. In Jesus name, Amen.
