July 2, 2011 (Isaiah 4-5; Psalm 115-116; Jude)
From the Life Journal of Adam Proux:
Scripture: “He will also lift up a standard to the distant nation…” Isaiah 5:26 NASB
Observation: God’s word is the standard that has been lifted up for His people to live by. Today’s church is gone astray like a distant nation from God. Returning to the standard that has been given will result in a visitation from the Lord.
Application: We MUST seek God’s word for ourselves! False teachers have infiltrated the church and are teaching doctrines of men, presenting them as the Gospel of Christ. So many are being led astray and believing this filth because they put their trust in the wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing. Rid yourself of any doctrine against God’s Holy Word, it is our standard and we have a responsibility to learn it.
Prayer: Father thank you today for your word. It speaks to the very inner parts of my being. Thank you so much for giving me ears to hear. Lord today I lift up to you my family, sisters, brother in laws, cousins and my friends. Place within them the desire to seek your word for direction and understanding. Deliver and set free each one that is bound by sin. Lift up the standard of your word, place it before our eyes. In Jesus name, Amen.
