June 25, 2011 ( Joel 1-3; II Timothy 1)
From the Life Journal of Adam Proux:
Scripture: “Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming; Surely it is near..” Joel 2:1 NASB
Observation: The Lord is not slack concerning His promises, as some men count slackness. He said He would return, and He will. In a day when we think not. We’ll be making plans for tomorrow when suddenly we hear a great shout and a trumpet blast! Surely that day is near! One thing I know for sure, that day is one day closer today, than it was yesterday!
Application: As Christians it’s our responsibility to sound the alarm until that promised day is fulfilled. Before we can tell others about Jesus and the gospel, we must first learn of it and experience it for ourselves. If you’re born again, you can witness to others. You can sound the alarm by telling people what Jesus has done for you! Tell someone today.
Prayer: Father thank you for your mercy and grace that’s always abounding. Plant boldness within my soul to testify of Jesus, and tell of the impact He’s had in my life. Place someone in my presence today that needs to hear from you. When you do, speak through me the words that need to be spoken. In Jesus name, Amen.
