“That Shall I Speak”

June 18, 2011 (I Kings 22; II Chronicles 18-19; Colossians 4)

From the Life Journal of Adam Proux:

Scripture: “But Micaiah said, As the Lord lives, what the Lord says to me, that I shall speak.” I Kings 22:14 NASB

Observation: What Micaiah had to say was not popular opinion. In fact he was known for not going with the crowd. It’s important that we speak only what God has instructed us to speak. If He’s given no revelation on a particular topic we should remain silent. It would be in our best interest.

Application: Don’t be swayed by the masses. The majority is not always right. Just because everybody else is saying or doing it don’t make it right. Listen to the word’s of God, open the Bible and let the word of God speak to you! Then go forth and speak the words revealed to you and JUST LIVE IT!

Prayer: Father thank you for speaking to me through your word. Thank you for providing me what I need to know and speak. Protect me and keep me in the fight for righteousness. May I speak what you say to me, even if it’s in the face of opposition. In Jesus name, Amen.
