August 22, 2011 (Jeremiah 28-30; 1 John 3)
From the Life Journal of Adam Proux:
Scripture: “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 NASB
Observation: God’s people had just learned they would remain in exile for seventy years instead of the two years that was falsely prophesied. God has plans that are good for them, not of calamity. He desires to give them a prosperous future and hope. He tells them in verse 13, that they will seek Him and find Him when they search for Him with all their heart.
Application: Is God present in your life? Do you know where He is? Have you spoken to Him lately? Has He spoken to you lately? If we desire to hear from God it will require some discipline on our part. We must seek Him and search for Him with all our heart. If we do this, then we will surely find Him and His plans of hope for our future. He is faithful, yesterday, today and forevermore!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for all Your blessings, mercy and grace. Thank You for providing Your word for me to have and to hold. I realize that You have plans of prosperity for me and not plans of harm. You have plans of hope and a future for me, I’m so thankful. Help me become a vessel that brings You honor and provides glory for Your name. I seek You with all my heart, I desire to hear you speak, that’s why I search Your word daily, to find You. Word of God, speak to me in Jesus name, Amen!
